PRESENTS Diane Leifheit Route 86...2 miles past Paul Smiths College on left going towards Saranac Lake/ August 3 from dawn to dusk.
The Farcry Garden has partnered with the King garden for 7 of the ten inaugural years of Artist in the Garden. Laid out in a kitchen garden manner, flowers, herbs and vegetables are intermixed. There has always been something unusual blooming that day- a flower I forgot I planted seems to show up. I have always dreamed the garden to look like the Canadian Group of Seven artist MacDonald's "Tangled Garden". You will find lilies, sunnies, cosmos and hollyhocks. We also have a 16 acre meadow which will be the feature of my upcoming exhibit "Meadowfront" at the Artists Guild in October. We have hosted rain or shine and rain has been intense and interesting.
The Artist in the Garden Art Exhibit will be held Oct. 25 to Nov. 21 at NCCC in the Great Hall’s Upstairs Gallery. The Opening Reception is Sat., Oct. 25 from 4 to 6 PM. Entry forms or the Prospectus for this art exhibit based on the Artist in the Garden events may be obtained at forARTSake or can be secured online by clicking right here. Call 518.483.9411 for more information. Support the Arts! Your membership in FOOTHILLS ARTSociety supports many programs throughout the North Country community. We provide the following:
