FOOTHILLS at forARTSAke

forARTSake and FOOTHILLS ARTSociety have been collaborating on art related events for a number of years. Whimsical Women and Young Artists in Action exhibits have been popular FOOTHILLS events held at forARTSake since their inception.  In the spring of 2007, FOOTHILLS moved its office to forARTSake. More accessible to the public, the monthly board meetings have been held in the upstairs workshop area. These meetings, open to all FOOTHILLS members, are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month.

For the past few years, there has been an increased collaboration with the addition of workshops and the new FOOTHILLS Art Scholarship (in honor of Arnold Sauther) presented at the annual Robideau/Lamitie King Middle and High School Juried Art Exhibit

The Annual Membership Meeting at St. Lucia's was successfully held on June 23rd from 6 to 8 PM.

Tammy Gordon gave her last presentation as President of FOOTHILLS ARTSociety at the membership meeting. She reviewed the accomplishments of the board and introduced the new board members and acknowledged those who will continue to serve for the 2009-2010 year. She thanked all those in attendance for their dedication to FOOTHILLS ARTSociety for 2008-2009.

The buffet was provided by the membership. Music was provided by the NEBULONS, featuring Michael Hart, Jimmy Gomez, and Trevor Buchanan.

FOOTHILLS extends to all past members a chance to support the arts in the Malone Community in the year 2009-2010 by renewing their membership and to those who are not yet a part of FOOTHILLS ARTSociety to become new members.

We hope that the art programming for the new year beginning July 1 will interest you. We thank you for your monetary support as well as your interest in the arts by volunteering or simply attending our programming. Without your membership, we could not succeed in our mission.
